Her own parents don’t want anything to do with her, because she’s a girl. Her brothers were always loved, but she wasn’t.
Educational level: Although she didn’t get the chance to study, she’s a very smart and clever woman. Her dream is to get a degree and be an example for her daughters. Unfortunately, women are not allowed to study in Zakryto and Ah Cy fears her dreams will never turn into reality.
Profession: She works for the famous fashion brand ‘Primark’. She bleaches jeans every day with very dangerous chemical products.

Secret aspirations: She dreams about a country that is very tolerant towards women and were all people are treated equally. A country that encourages dreams. That’s why she would love to go on a holiday to the UFN one day. But if the policemen of Zakryto find out about her aspiration, they wouldn’t hesitate to kill her and her family immediately. In Zakryto everyone is supposed to be submissive to the leaders, and no one is allowed to have their own opinion. Because most of the people are used to this life, they don’t revolt against the policy.

Personality: Ah Cy is a strong woman, who believes in a good future for everyone. She always looks at the bright side of life and she’s a fighter who will never give up. Even though she would love to share her opinion with everyone, she can’t because her life would be in danger. That’s why she founded a secret association of women who gather together and discuss about women’s rights.

 

Likes and dislikes: Ah Cy hates the fact that men think they can dominate women. But in Zakryto that’s just the way it is. She hates working all day and everyday and she dreams of a holiday with her family. She would like to have some time to relax and be a member of the “do-nothing-club”for one day. She loves her children to bits and likes to tell them stories about brave women before bedtime.
